Syed Haider Ali Shah holds an LLB (Hons.) degree from the University of Sheffield, an LLM degree in public international law from the University of Nottingham, and has completed the Bar Professional Training Course from City, University of London. Haider is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and the Sindh Bar Council.

Before joining the firm, Haider was Law Clerk to the Honourable Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel at the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2018-2019. He has experience of working on constitutional, civil litigation and corporate advisory matters in his previous roles, and has also previously represented clients before the Social Security Tribunal in London, United Kingdom.

Haider advises clients on commercial, tax, banking, labour, corporate, regulatory and arbitration matters. He also assists in all aspects of the firm’s litigation practice before arbitration tribunals, the Honourable High Courts and the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Clients he has advised include Telenor Pakistan, MCB Bank, National Bank of Pakistan, Allied Bank Limited, Gul Ahmed, Metro Power Company, Siddiqsons Tin Plate Limited, National Foods Limited and Hub Power Company Limited.
