Mr. Raashid Anwer, Managing Partner at Khalid Anwer & Co., is a graduate of Cornell University with over two decades of experience before the Superior Courts of Pakistan. He specializes in commercial, constitutional, tax, and employment law and has represented top corporations in landmark tax and employment cases, including multi-billion-dollar disputes. His clients include major banks, telecom companies, and multinational firms like Pepsi, Toyota, and Pfizer. He has successfully handled Pakistan’s largest tax cases and regularly advises on regulatory, corporate, and judicial reforms. Mr. Anwer is recognized as one of Pakistan’s leading tax and shareholder litigation lawyers.

Jawad Ahmed Qureshi is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. He earned his LL.B. (Hons) from King’s College London in 2009 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010. Joining Khalid Anwer & Co. in 2012, he became a Partner in 2016. He regularly appears before the High Courts and tribunals, specializing in commercial, constitutional, and tax litigation. Hamza Danial is presently a Corporate Counsel in the firm’s Transactional and Advisory Practice based out of the Karachi office. He holds an LLB (Hons.) degree from the University of London. •  Advising the Sapphire Group regarding a multifaceted corporate reorganization, and subsequently aiding in the creation and submission of a Scheme of Arrangement for a spin-off in the High Court of Sindh, which was argued by the Managing Partner of the firm and duly granted. The de-merger had a valuation of hundreds of millions of rupees.
•  Advised and carried out an exhaustive due diligence on behalf of one of Pakistan’s preeminent corporations, about their proposed acquisition of a 50% shareholding in a construction and development company, wherein the transaction was valued in billions of rupees.
• Advising 96% of the unit holders of a privately held fund about the acquisition of the remaining 4% units, and establishing a governance framework for the fund’s stakeholders after the acquisition. At the time of acquisition, the fund was valued in billions of rupees.
•  Advised a distinguished commercial bank in Pakistan regarding the acquisition of a controlling equity stake in another bank.
•  Advised one of the sponsors in acquiring a human resources company, with the transaction valued in tens of millions of rupees.
• Provided guidance and established a strategic plan for a distinctive transaction involving acquiring a Section 42 (not for profit) company by another Section 42 (not for profit) company.
• Advised United Bank Limited in respect of the digital processing of cheques, a pioneering mechanism being introduced in Pakistan.

Mohammad Arif Arain holds an LL.B. Hons. degree from SOAS University of London and is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate, Transactional, and Advisory Department. Ali Sheikhani 

Syed Mustafa Ali, an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, holds a law degree from the University of London (2007) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Lincoln’s Inn in 2008. Syed Ali Mehdi, LLB (Hons.) from the University of London and LLM in International Commercial Law from Newcastle, UK, joined Khalid Anwer & Co. in 2013. Habib Kazi holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London International Programme. He advises clients on banking, commercial, constitutional, civil, labour, and taxation matters, and handles corporate advisory work including due diligence and M&A. Rida Tariq joined the firm in 2024 after serving as a law clerk to Justice Munib Akhtar at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, assisting with constitutional, tax, civil, and commercial cases.
